With our fantasy season coming to the midpoint, and our standard weekly power rankings falling to the wayside, I’ve decided to create a power rankings to help predict the future of our keeper league. With this in mind, I narrowed the parameters of the discussion down to the current roster’s total scoring average (excluding that of the person in the IR spot as of 1/13/2020) and the average age of the roster 1-15. While there are millions of caveats to any discussion, and I’m well aware averages can be drastically thrown off by teams carrying hurt players in active spots (not my job to tell someone else how to run their team) and/or load management, I kept it simple and rocked with these two parameters for an ease of understanding and reading.
With that in mind, let’s look to the future…

Being I’m no mathematician, I will use the average score divided by the average age to give a rough understanding of scoring output in comparison to the ages of players on the roster:
Nick: 11.526 points per year
Britt: 12.354 points per year
Dubbs: 13.459 points per year
Seamus: 10.612 points per year
Carter: 8.986 points per year
David: 11.893 points per year
James: 8.092 points per year
JK: 10.593 points per year
Louis: 11.545 points per year
Sean: 10.040 points per year
So, in conclusion, while not a scientifically strong case, it’s clear to see who is currently killing the league, and who has a chance with their young players to grow in the future. My professional opinion as the “GM Gawd” is as follows: good luck trying to beat anyone above an 11 points per year in the next decade or so if you don’t have a lengthy group of players in the “best young stars” and “young prospects” categories as statistically it’ll be tough to overcome. Last but not least, it’s safe to say my boy James will be eating lots of waffles over the next half decade, let’s wish him luck.
