The NBA is back and the amount of basketball was overwhelming. As a 76ers fan I was locked in on my game for most of the night so I chose not to live and die by my picks as buzzers sounded. Biggest takeaway from the night was that I will be taking the under for every 76ers game for the foreseeable future as that defense is ELITE, *whispers* and the offense is extremely clunky. It was just great to have basketball back. I started watching the Kings/Suns after the 76ers game and it was like I was watching a different sport given the pace and seeing three pointers actually go in the basket. Anyways unders were the move last night as 13 of the 22 bets went under. As for myself, I went 12-10 last night and finished the night up 12.64 units. That brings my season total to 13-13 up 11.55 units. A sort of standard I am setting for myself is to get to 55% as that is what is considered successful in the gambling world. Sean’s Thoughts

Feel pretty confident in the over in the Hawks/Pistons game. Pistons played last night and without Blake Griffin they could struggle early. Well that is what one would think but they are playing the Hawks who were one of the worst defensive teams in the league last year. What the Hawks lack in defense they make up for on the offensive side with their pace and ability to jack up the 3 ball. Bucks/Rockets could really go either way in my opinion. Giannis lost some key supporting cast members and the Rockets are an iso heavy team so that is why I am leaning towards the under, definitely the picks I have the least amount of confidence in. Clippers/Warriors on paper seems like a great matchup but I think the Clippers win easily as they have multiple guys they can throw at Steph. I like the under in this game due to the Clippers length and defense as well as the Warriors figuring out their offense without Klay and with D’Angelo Russell.

Sean’s Locks

My locks went 2-2 last night as the Cavs/Magic enjoyed missing shots last night and the Sixers/Celtics made dads across America proud with their 90’s style offenses. It will be awhile until I take the over in a 76ers game. On to tonight’s locks. Love the Hawks/Pistons full game over at 220.5. Could see the first half being a struggle but if the Pistons are a little sluggish after playing last night this game could become a game of no defense in the second half. Very confident that the first half and full game unders will hit in the Clippers/Warriors game. The Clippers are, in my opinion, the title favorites and look for them to contain Steph and shut down the rest of the Warriors. Here is to hoping for a perfect night from my locks as I cannot let the Intern Turtle show me up.
